One Detroit Center

One Detroit Center, also known as Ally Detroit Center, is a prominent skyscraper located in downtown Detroit, Michigan.

It features a neo-gothic architectural style that stands out with its distinctive spires and a copper roof, which has patinated over time. Rising to a height of 619 feet with 43 floors, it became one of the tallest office buildings in Michigan. The building’s construction involved advanced techniques and materials to accommodate Detroit's weather, with a facade composed of granite and glass. Structurally, it was engineered to withstand strong winds and temperature fluctuations typical of the region, making it a durable addition to Detroit’s skyline and a significant example of modern architectural engineering in the city.
